Cadillac SRX Pros
The 2009 Cadillac SRX brings a lot to the table. For starters, the GM 3.6L "high feature" V6 is smooth and capable, while never becoming noisy or obtrusive. Also standard is StabiliTrak, which can reduce engine or wheel speed as conditions dictate. Goodyear tires ride on handsome 17-inch painted cast aluminum wheels, which are bolted to very capable four wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Other standard amenities include power front bucket seats, a tilting leather-wrapped steering wheel with redundant audio and climate controls, power windows and locks, remote keyless entry, a complimentary year of OnStar service and parking assist. All these standard features in an SUV translate to an outstanding value in its class.

Cadillac SRX Model Highlights
Cadillac's 2009 SRX is available in two basic flavors: V8 and V6. Both engines offer variable valve timing and can be mated to an optional all-wheel-drive system. The base trim uses GM's excellent 255-horsepower "high feature" 3.6L V6 engine. Cadillac has really spent some time fine-tuning the suspension of both SRX models, and it shows. Upgrade to the Northstar 4.6L V8, and power output increases to 320 hp. Choose the optional Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension, and handling goes from very good to outstanding, as this SUV feels tight and responsive around turns, giving it a cornering feel on par with Infiniti's FX or the BMW X5. At the same time, the highway ride remains smooth and comfortable. The feel and responsiveness of the steering and brakes impress as well. The convenience option list is extensive on the SRX, including sport packages with 18-inch or 20-inch wheels and tires, premium seating, a theater package that includes a rear seat DVD player, high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and an "Ultraview" panoramic sunroof.

Cadillac SRX Model News
The Cadillac SRX has minimal changes for 2009. Radiant Silver, Black Ice, and Blue Diamond Tricoat replace Blue Chip, Radiant Bronze, Light Platinum, and Sunset Blue as exterior colors. Other changes include some minor re-shuffling in the options packages.
